Stakes winner Waupaca has been retired from racing and will enter stud in 2010 at C.L. and Ellen Caines’ Caines Stallion Station near Wynnewood, Okla. His fee is $1,000

A 9-year-old son of Forest Wildcat, Waupaca won or placed in 29 of 54 starts and earned $558,816. He captured six stakes, all in Louisiana or Texas, including the Woodchopper Handicap on turf. He placed in 11 added-money races, including two runnings of the Dallas Turf Cup Handicap (gr. IIIT).

Waupaca’s dam, Champagne Cakes (by Cormorant), is a half-sister to two stakes winners, including New York graded winner Dr. Kiernan.
