Eight juveniles, including the allowance-winning filly Redverse, go in search of a first stakes win in the $150,000 Display at Woodbine Dec. 5.
The 1 1/16-mile event will be contested over Polytrack in the seventh race of the day at 3:53 p.m. ET.
In her first try against males, Redverse defeated Just Call Me Roger by three-quarters of a length in a first-level allowance heat at the Display distance of 8 1/2 furlongs Nov. 15. Trained by Josie Carroll for owners James and Alice Sapara, the Kentucky-bred daughter of Menifee has earned just over $100,000 while winning two of six starts.
In her prior stakes tries, the bay filly ran fifth in both the Ontario Debutante and the Natalma (Can-IIIT) at Woodbine. Emile Ramsammy has the mount on Redverse, who breaks from the rail with 115 pounds.
Just Call Me Roger stepped out of a $50,000 claiming win to just miss to Redverse after opening a three-length advantage in the lane. Two Amigos Stable's Florida-bred gelding by One Nice Cat has won two of five starts for trainer Gregory de Gannes. Just Call Me Roger will get blinkers for the first time in three starts.
Stronach Stable's Thunder Ball posted an impressive maiden victory in his second start for Reade Baker and was most recently second as the favorite in a 1 1/16-mile allowance race Oct. 29, faltering late after getting the lead.
Baker also entered Bear's Hard Ten, who finished fifth as the choice in his first start against winners, a 6 1/2-furlong allowance race Oct. 22, and Captain Carlos, who swamped $25,000 maiden claimers by nine lengths Nov. 5.
Thunder Ball and Bear's Hard Ten each carry top weight of 118 pounds.
Sam-Son Farms' Giant's Tomb, a son of Awesome Again , scored a three-length victory over maidens in his fourth start for trainer Mark Frostad Nov. 14.
Send Him In makes his first start for Tucci Stables and trainer Sid Attard after being claimed for $62,500 in a 3 1/4-length triumph at seven furlongs Nov. 8. The Came Home gelding won a $30,000 maiden claiming event at Turfway Park by 7 3/4 lengths in September.
Boadini, third to Send Him In last time, completes the field.
