Grade II winner Half Ours  will stand in 2010 at Val Murrell’s Clear Creek Stud near Folsom, La. He will stand for $5,000. Half Ours formerly stood at the Taylor family’s Taylor Made Stallions near Nicholasville, Ky.

Six-year-old Half Ours (Unbridled's Song—Zing, by Storm Cat) won five of seven races and earned $319,680. He won the Three Chimneys Juvenile Stakes at 2 and the Richter Scale Sprint Championship Handicap (gr. II) at 4.

Half Ours sold as a horse in training for $6.1 million at the 2006 Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

“Obviously, we are excited about the prospect of a new addition like Half Ours coming to Clear Creek Stud,” Murrell said. “Undefeated at two, Half Ours is a record-setting graded stakes winner who sold at Keeneland November sale for $6.1 million while still in training. Louisiana breeders will appreciate his talent and speed as well as his pedigree and conformation. In his first crop to reach public auction, Half Ours’ weanlings averaged $36,000 at the recently concluded Keeneland November sale with one selling for $80,000 and another being the top horse sold for the day when it brought $50,000.  He is the total package and we certainly appreciate Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Jones and the folks at Taylor Made Stallions for making this happen.  We fully expect this to be a mutually beneficial endeavor for all, especially for those looking to breed and raise runners in Louisiana.”
