Turfway Holiday Meet to Feature Five Stakes

Turfway Park will feature five stakes during its holiday meet, which runs from Nov. 29 through Dec. 31.

From opening day through Dec. 22, Turfway is open for live racing Wednesdays through Sundays and closed Mondays and Tuesdays. First post is 5:30 p.m. EST weeknights and 1:10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The track will be closed for live racing Dec. 23- 25, but full-card simulcasts will be offered Dec. 23.

Live racing returns Dec. 26-31, including Monday, Dec. 28 and Tuesday, Dec. 29, with first post of 1:10 p.m.

All stakes are worth $50,000. The schedule is as follows: Holiday Inaugural Nov. 29, My Charmer Stakes Dec. 5, Prairie Bayou Stakes Dec. 12, Gowell Stakes Dec. 19, and Holiday Cheer Stakes Dec. 26.

Turfway will lower the minimum for trifecta and pick four wagers to 50 cents. The “Dollar Fridays” promotion is in place for the meet.

The Churchill Downs fall meet concludes Nov. 28.
