Yankee Gentleman to Le Mesa Stallions

 Yankee Gentleman  , the sire of six stakes winners from his first three crops of racing age, has been relocated to Brett A. Brinkman’s Le Mesa Stallions in Carencro, La. The 10-year-old son of Storm Cat—Key Phrase, by Flying Paster, will stand for $5,000 live foal. He previously stood at Mr. and Mrs. Brereton C. Jones’ Airdrie Stud near Midway, Ky.
 

A homebred who raced for Martin and Pam Wygod, Yankee Gentleman won four of 10 starts, including the Pirate’s Bounty Handicap, and earned $202,547.

With progeny earnings of more than $5.3 million, Yankee Gentleman has been represented by six stakes winners and 12 additional stakes-placed runners. Among the stakes winners sired by Yankee Gentleman have been Golden Yank, whose victories include the Oklahoma Derby and Zia Park Derby, and California Derby winner Yankee Bravo.
