Fritz Widaman, who has headed marketing efforts at the National Thoroughbred Racing Association since 2003, has been named to the newly created position of director of sales and business development for Daily Racing Form.
Widaman will move into his new post Nov. 30 after having the title of vice president of business development for the NTRA. Widaman, 43, will be responsible for growing Daily Racing Form's digital platform from both advertising and market development standpoints, according to a Nov. 20 release.
Widaman will work with senior management to expand digital marketing programs and initiatives engineered to grow the company’s racetrack partner business. He also will manage the DRF Midwest advertising sales operation and will be based in Lexington.
