Not even a No. 1 ranking on this year’s leading sires list and 23 stakes winners could keep Giant’s Causeway’s fee from going down for 2010 at John Magnier and partners’ Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky. The son of Storm Cat stood for $125,000 in 2009 but will stand for $100,000 in 2010.

Only one of the Ashford stallions, Tale of the Cat  , will stand for the same fee that he stood for in 2009. His fee remains $30,000.

Thewayyouare, who raced last year, will stand for $10,000 in ’10.
