Stakes winners Halo Najib and Massive Drama will enter stud in 2010 at Indiana Stallion Station near Anderson, Ind. The two colts, both 4-year-olds, raced for Ahmed Zayat’s Zayat Stables and will stand at stud as the property of the outfit. The fee for each is $2,500 live foal, stands and nurses.

Massive Drama, a $485,000 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July sale yearling, won his first two starts, including the seven-furlong Hollywood Prevue Stakes (gr. III) in 1:21.48. The time was about a fifth of a second slower than the track record. Massive Drama ended his 2-year-old season with a third-place finish in the CashCall Futurity (gr. I) behind Into Mischief and Colonel John.

At 3, Massive Drama placed in the San Vicente (gr. II) and San Rafael (gr. III) Stakes.

During his career, Massive Drama won or placed in five of eight races and earned $236,232.

“He was one of the fastest 2-year-olds I have ever trained,” said trainer Bob Baffert. “He was as fast as his sire was.”

By Kafwain, Massive Drama was produced from the stakes-winning Slewacide mare Peyvon.

Halo Najib (Halo’s Image--Najibe’s Wish, by Sword Dance) won at Keeneland at 2 in his first start and then ran second behind Court Vision in the Iroquois Stakes (gr. III) at Churchill Downs. As a 3-year-old, he equaled a 1 1/16-mile track record in the Darley Ocala Breeders’ Sale Championship Stakes and ran second in the Lane’s End Stakes (gr. II) and third in the Hutcheson Stakes (gr. II). At 4, Halo Najib placed in three grade II events at Santa Anita.

During his career, Halo Najib won or placed in eight of 16 races and earned $377,493.

“He was a very talented horse that never reached his full potential--a  well-minded, strong, nice-looking horse,” said trainer Dale Romans.

Brett St. Amand BloodStock and partners brokered the deal.
