A substantial portion of the company Starquine.com, the leader in online Thoroughbred sales in North America, has been acquired by PM Advertising, a full-service agency with expertise in web development and Thoroughbred marketing.
“We’ve been following Starquine.com since its inception in the late 90s, and we have always believed in the concept of trading Thoroughbreds online,” said Joel Eckman, partner in PM Advertising. “We feel like we have a unique knowledge of the web and the Thoroughbred industry, and we see a lot of opportunity for Starquine.com.
“PM Advertising will implement ideas to enhance the user experience for both buyer and seller, while improving functionality, design and marketability. Our goal is for Starquine.com to be a user-friendly platform to easily and effectively trade horses as we move further into the technology age.”
Along with enhancements to the website, Starquine.com has also employed sales administrator Crystal Conway to coordinate and advertise listings for clients.
“We are striving to take customer service to a higher level,” said Conway. “We feel like Starquine.com is a viable outlet to trade horses now more than ever, and we look forward to working with all horsemen who wish to buy or sell horses.
“With the tough climate at the public auctions, we have improved our listing capabilities to offer consignors and bloodstock agents a viable alternative to selling their RNAs. Starquine.com now has the ability to create online consignments with listings featuring photos and comprehensive information about the horse, which can be viewed online in just a matter of hours to help promote private sales of their stock.”
