Cactus Ridge, who ranks among the leading third-crop sires of 2009, will stand the 2010 breeding season at Vinery near Lexington. The 8-year-old son of Hennessy previously stood at Walmac Farm.

A fee for 2010 has not been announced.

Bred and raced by Toby Keith’s Dream Walkin’ Farms, Cactus Ridge is the sire of seven stakes winners — six in 2009 — including Hot Cha Cha, winner of the Keeneland’s Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (gr. IT). His other added-money winners include Potosina, Hollywood Hit, and Don’ttalktome. His progeny earnings in 2009 are more than $3 million.

Out of the Lycius mare Double Park, Cactus Ridge was unbeaten at 2, winning four races including the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III).
