Tiznow to Pass Pacific Classic; Woodward Possible
The son of Cee's Tizzy has been working well of late, capped off by Tuesday's seven-furlong drill in 1:24.60 with regular rider Chris McCarron up.Robbins said this morning that co-owner Michael Cooper is leaning toward sending Tiznow to Belmont Park for the Sept. 8 $500,000 Woodward Handicap (gr. I) at 1 1/8 miles. The colt would then be pointed to a defense of his Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I) win at Belmont on Oct. 27."He was a little tired after the work," Robbins said, "but you want him to get tired if you're going to get him fit to run." |
