Gomez 3-1 Choice to Get Most BC Victories

Garrett Gomez is the 3-1 morning-line favorite for the new Breeders’ Cup Jockey Bet Nov. 6-7 at Santa Anita Park. The line was set based on mounts the jockeys have in the 14 World Championships events.

The Jockey Bet allows patrons to place win wagers only. All bets must be placed prior to the first Breeders’ Cup race Nov. 6; the $500,000 Breeders’ Cup Marathon is the first Cup race and third on the program.

Breeders’ Cup said if a jockey picks up other mounts in the Cup races, wins in those races will count toward the total. If two or more jockeys finish with the same number of wins, the results will be considered a dead heat, with the pool split accordingly.

No refunds will be permitted after the first race in the sequence. Each jockey will have a betting number, and there will be a field for “all others.”
