Horse College Deadline Extended

Scott County in Kentucky, along with Harrison, Owen, and Grant Counties will be hosting a Horse College on November 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 6:00 – 8:30 each evening.

Horse college is for anyone that has years of experience with horses or is interested in getting a horse. All sessions will be held at the Scott County Extension Office located at 1130 Cincinnati Road in Georgetown.

Topics will include: Feeding considerations for your horse, health care basics, hoof care, facilities, and behavior.

Speakers for the topics include Dr. Bob Coleman, University of Kentucky Extension horse specialist, and Dr. Fernanda Camargo-Stutzman, University of Kentucky Extension horse specialist, and a speaker from the Kentucky Horseshoeing School.

Cost of the college is $50 per person and is due Oct. 30. Dinner is included with the fee. Please make checks payable to: Scott County Extension District Board, 1130 Cincinnati Road, Georgetown, KY, 40324.
