Taffy Davenport Tops Lousiana Mixed Sale

Taffy Davenport, who finished second in the 1998 Delaware Oaks, brought the top price of $6,000 during the Breeders Sales Company of Louisiana’s mixed sale Oct. 17 at Serenity Farm in Folsom, La. Hay Hollow Racing Stable purchased the 14-year-old daughter of Miswaki from Simpson Farm, agent.

Out of the Pumpkin Moonshine mare Lap of Luxury, Taffy Davenport won three of her 10 career races. She has produced four winners: Sweet Taffy (by Judge T C), Taffyville (by Vaudeville), Newport Topper (by Old Topper), and Valid Port (by Valid Wager). Taffy Davenport is in foal to Ide.
