(Edited New York Racing Association press release)

Because of a forecast for heavy rain in the New York area during the latter half of the week and weekend, the New York Racing Association moved the $100,000 Knickerbocker Handicap (gr. IIIT) to Oct. 22. The Knickerbocker orginally had been scheduled to be the feature race Oct. 18 at Belmont Park.

The Knickerbocker field will be drawn Oct. 18.

Belmont's Oct. 18 feature race now will be the $65,0000-added Top Secret Stakes for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up. The Top Secret, which will be run as the ninth race on the 10-race card, has drawn a field of seven.
