Due to heavy rain forecast for the New York area during the latter half of the week, The New York Racing Association has moved the scheduled feature race for Oct. 17, the $100,000 Athenia Stakes (gr. IIIT), to Oct. 21.

The Athenia is for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up going 1 1/16 miles on the Belmont Park turf course.

The race will now be drawn Oct. 17. The  feature that day will now be run as the fourth race, a dirt allowance contest named for the St. Francis Prep Alumni Association, which has drawn six entrants.

Despite the shift, NYRA will offer its regular Saturday $350,000 guaranteed Late Pick 4 on races 7 – 10 at Belmont Park.
