With a spot into the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf on the line, the $150,000 JP Chase Morgan Jessamine Stakes has attracted a full field of 12 Oct. 15 at Keeneland.

The Jessamine will go as race 8 on the Keeneland program and is scheduled for a 4:35 p.m. EDT post. As part of the “Win and You’re In” series, the Jessamine will give the winner a chance to compete in the Nov. 6 Breeders’ Cup at Santa Anita.
Installed as the 5-2 morning-line favorite is Augustin Stable’s homebred filly Smart Seattle, runner-up in the P. G. Johnson Stakes at Saratoga in her second start and her first try around two turns. The daughter of Smart Strike  —Seattle Bay, by Opening Verse, won her debut by one length going 5 1/2 furlongs on the grass Aug. 13 at the Spa.
Jeremy Rose will ride Smart Seattle for Graham Motion. The bay filly was bred in Pennsylvania.
The 3-1 second choice is Shadwell Stable’s homebred Hatheer, who scratched out of the Oct. 4 Miss Grillo Stakes at Belmont after it was taken off the turf. The Storm Cat filly broke her maiden at second asking Sept. 7 at Saratoga going 1 1/16 miles. She turned in a four-furlong work Oct. 10 at Keeneland in :48. Alan Garcia has the mount for Kiaran McLaughlin.
Also in the hunt is Magdalena Racing’s House of Grace, who broke her maiden by five lengths Aug. 19 at the Spa. The Ken McPeek trainee, a daughter of Limehouse  , came from well off the pace in that 1 1/16-mile turf event and drew off after taking over at the top of the lane. Mike Luzzi has the call.
