ESPN will televise three races from Oak Tree at Santa Anita Park and two races from Keeneland on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 5 p.m.-7:45 p.m. (ET) on ESPN Classic. The broadcast is the first of three Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series telecasts that will lead in to the $25.5 million Breeders’ Cup World Championships from Santa Anita Park on Nov. 6-7.
The Oct. 10 telecast will reunite Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Mine That Bird with jockey Calvin Borel in the Goodwood Stakes (gr. I), an automatic qualifier for the $5 million Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I). The Goodwood will also air live on ESPN’s "College Football Scoreboard" show at 6:55 PM (ET). The telecast will also feature superstar Zenyatta as she looks to tie Personal Ensign’s 13-race undefeated record with a victory in the Lady’s Secret (gr. I) which will be televised live during ESPN2’s "College Football Scoreboard" show at 7:30 PM (ET).
