Khalid Abdullah’s top-class 3-year-old filly Midday will be pointed for the Emirates Air Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT) following her third in last Sunday’s Prix de l’Opera (Fr-I) at Longchamp, said Abdullah’s racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe.
In her previous start, the homebred daughter of Oasis Dream won the group I Nassau Stakes at Goodwood by 2 1/4 lengths for trainer Henry Cecil at the 10-furlong distance of the Filly & Mare Turf.
This past spring, she was beaten a short head in the English Oaks (Eng-I) and was third in the Irish Oaks (Ire-I).
In all, she has three career victories from 10 starts, with two seconds and three thirds. Her other stakes victory was a six-length romp in the Lingfield Oaks Trial.
