The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced that Dr. J. David Richardson has been appointed to a three-year term on the American Graded Stakes Committee.

Richardson replaces Fred Seitz, whose three-year term had concluded. An owner-breeder from Goshen, Ky., Richardson is a member of The Jockey Club and is chief of surgery at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Richardson joins prior TOBA appointees Peter Willmott, chairman, John Amerman, Rollin Baugh, Seth Hancock, and Bill Heiligbrodt and racing official members Rogers Beasley, P.J. Campo, Michael Dempsey, Michael Harlow and Tom Robbins.

The committee will next meet on Dec. 2 in Lexington for its annual grading session.
