Golf Tournament to Benefit BEST

The Horsemen’s Golf Tournament, to benefit the New York Racing Association’s Backstretch Employee Service Team, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 6 at Wheatley Hills Golf Club in Williston Park, Long Island, New York.

The tournament’s format is two-person teams@best ball, low-net. Registration begins at 11:30 (ET), with lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., followed by a shotgun tee-off.

The $250 registration fee includes welcome bag, lunch, on-course refreshments, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner. Hole sponsorships are available and there will be pari-mutuel wagering available on all teams.

For an additional $250, participants can have one of the following jockeys in their foursome: Jorge Chavez, Angel Cordero Jr., Kent Desormeaux, Alan Garcia, Mike Luzzi, and Jean Luc Samyn.
