Gulfstream Park Racino, Simulcasting Gains

Gulfstream Park reported Sept. 21 that revenues for its slot, poker and simulcasting components increased in August, while business at competing racinos in Broward County posted declines.

According to figures recently released by the State of Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation Gulfstream Park’s slot machines handled $3,210,695 in August, a rise of 10.11% from the same period in 2008, according to a release from the track. Meanwhile, the state figures showed business at the Mardi Gras dog track fell 21.96% while the Isle of Capri declined 5.37

Gulfstream also reported that poker handle of $305,634 for the month was up 9.6% over August, 2008 and that simulcast business was up 2.58% from the previous August, registering total handle of $5,374,403.
