A striking filly by Medaglia d'Oro   was purchased by Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Plantation for $1.3 million to highlight the Sept. 16 third session of the Keeneland September yearling sale.

The filly was consigned by Francis and Barbara Vanlangendonck’s Summerfield. The filly was bred in Florida by Gilbert Campbell.

Produced from the stakes-placed Unreal Zeal mare Beaties for Real, the filly is a half-sister to grade III winners Friel’s for Real and Ryan’s for Real and to stakes winner Little Thunder (all by Sword Dance). Interestingly, Beaties for Real was consigned to the 2007 Keeneland November sale carrying the Medaglia d'Oro   filly, and was bought back on a bid of $290,000.
