Cherokee's Boy Moves to Murmur Farm

Graded stakes-winning millionaire Cherokee’s Boy's will stand the 2010 breeding season at Mr. and Mrs. E. Allen Murray Jr.’s Murmur Farm in Darlington, Md. A son of Citidancer who is standing as the property of ZWP Stables, his fee will be $2,500 live foal. His first foals are yearlings of 2009.

Cherokee’s Boy, who stood in 2007 and 2008 at the Maryland Stallion Station, won stakes races every year from 2 to 6. He won the $100,000 Maryland Million Nursery Stakes as a juvenile, the Federico Tesio and Deputed Testamony Stakes at 3, and set two track records at 4, both in stakes races over off tracks. At 5, he won the grade III Salvator Mile Handicap at Monmouth Park, along with five other stakes, including the $150,000 Brandywine Handicap at Delaware Park.

At Murmur Farm, Cherokee’s Boy joins Louis Quatorze, Rush Bay, Scipion, and Crypto Star. Cherokee’s Boy is out of the stakes winner Cherokee Wonder, a half-sister to the dam of Eclipse Champion Fleet Indian whose 2008 colt brought top-price of $2,050,000 on the second day of the Keeneland September Yearling sale.
