"Thoroughbred Classics," a series that spotlights some of horse racing's greatest races, has returned following a two-month hiatus. Last spring, the series focused on horse racing's Triple Crown. This summer and fall, the 13-episode series, that airs on ESPN Classic, will serve as a lead up to the 2001 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.

The series will begin with a look back at the Haskell Invitational. The 2001 Haskell, to be shown this Sunday as part of the "Road To" series on ESPN2 from 6:00-7:00 p.m., marks the return to the racetrack of Point Given, winner of this year's Preakness and Belmont Stakes, who is pointing to the 2001 Breeders' Cup Classic.
