Grade I winner Taste of Paradise was represented by his first winner when his son Justamatteroftime scored by 7 1/4 lengths Sept. 9 at Presque Isle Downs. Campaigned by June Riley and Vernon Marcum, Justamatteroftime won the mile race in 1:40.37.
Bred in Kentucky by Foal Run Farm, Julia A. Gantt, and Scotty L. Abbot, Justamatteroftime is the third winner from three foals of racing age from the winning Green Dancer mare Green Mill.
Winner of the 2005 Vosburgh Stakes (gr. I) and second in that year’s TVG Breeders’ Cup Sprint (gr. I), Taste of Paradise (Conquistador Cielo—Tastetheteardrops, by What Luck) stands at Pope McLean’s Crestwood Farm near Lexington. His 2006 fee was $6,000.
