Prince Prado, a 9-year-old son of El Prado, has been purchased by Sharan Powers and Kenny Thorp for stallion duty at their Country Gold Equine farm near Boyd, Texas. His fee will be $1,500.

Prince Prado won or placed in 18 of 40 races and earned $247,448.

A half-brother to stakes-placed Running Apache, Prince Prado is out of the Hansel mare Hardi Lady, who is a half-sister to graded stakes winners Foresta and Wising Up (the great-granddam of champion Ashado).

Prince Prado formerly stood at Walkowski Thoroughbreds in Manitoba, Canada.
