Calkins Road Sires First Winner

Stakes winner Calkins Road was represented by his first winner when his son Cheatin a Little won at first asking Sept. 5 at Albuquerque. A homebred for Superstition Ranch, Cheatin a Little won the 5 1/2-furlong race by three-quarters of a length in 1:05.79.

A California-bred, Cheatin a Little is the second winner from the Prized mare Our Blue Ribbon.

Calkins Road (Illinois Storm—Little Code, by Lost Code) stands at Alisos Canyon Equine Center near Los Alamos, Calif. His 2009 fee was $2,000.
