Washington Yearling Sale Set for Sept. 8

The 43rd annual Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Association (WTBA) summer yearling auction will be held Sept. 8, beginning at 1 p.m. (PDT), at the Morris Alhadeff Sales Pavilion at Emerald Downs. There are 179 horses in the catalog and in addition to yearlings with Washington pedigrees, they include offerings from Kentucky, California, Oregon, and Canada.

Among the horses in the auction are full or half-brothers and -sisters to $453,960 earner and California champion Celtic Dreamin; $534,321 earner, stakes winner, and track record holder Outcashem; Washington Horse of the Year and $340,159 earner The Great Face; $336,492 earner and six-time stakes winner Native Annie; $399,414 earner, Emerald Downs and Monmouth Park stakes winner, and two-time state champion Margo's Gift; three-time 2009 stakes winner Knight Raider; $473,054 earner and stakes winner Prankster; and $388,623 earner and stakes winner Prince Alphie.
