Champion Action This Day will return to Castleton Lyons (Shane Ryan, president) near Lexington, where he started his stallion career. He stood the past two breeding seasons at B. Wayne Hughes’ Spendthrift Farm near Lexington.
Action This Day, who was voted 2003 champion 2-year-old male after winning the Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I), is the sire of Night Action, winner of last year’s $200,000 Miller Lite Cradle Stakes on turf, and two stakes-placed runners, including 2009 Canadian stakes horse Rapid Release. A total of 27 of his runners are winners.
Eight-year-old Action This Day is by Kris S. out of grade II stakes-placed Najecam (by Trempolino). A fee will be announced later.
