Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort announced Aug. 28 it has reduced its workforce by another 35 employees.
Mountaineer, owned by MTR Gaming Group, laid off more than 100 employees earlier in the year.
The company said the latest reductions were "confined to mostly administrative personnel" and will enable Mountaineer to "operate at optimal efficiency in a difficult economic climate."
Mountaineer, located in the Northern Panhandle region of West Virginia, has Thoroughbred racing, full-card simulcasts, video lottery terminals, and table games.
