Grade II winner Icy Atlantic has been purchased by Raul Gonzales-Abreu to stand at his British Mist Stud Farm in Panama. He is scheduled to make his final start in the Aug. 30 X Clasico Internacional Propietarios La Rinconda (Ven-I) before retiring.
 

Eight-year-old Icy Atlantic, who made his last North American start for James T. Scatuorchio in May, has won or placed in 22 of 48 races and earned $993,700. He captured five stakes, three of which were graded, including the 2007 Arcadia Handicap (gr. IIT) at Santa Anita. He placed in 11 stakes.
 

Bred in Florida by Arthur I. Appleton, Icy Atlantic is by Stormy Atlantic   out of the Frosty the Snowman mare Frosty Promise. He is a half-brother to grade III winner Wild Promise,
