Santulli Replaces Bell on Jockey Club Board

Richard Santulli has been elected to the board of stewards of The Jockey Club, filling the position vacated by Reynolds Bell Jr. at the expiration of his four-year term, it was announced Aug. 22.

Santulli is managing partner of Jayeff “B” Stables and has been involved in the Thoroughbred industry for more than 28 years. He serves on the board of directors of both the New York Racing Association and the Breeders’ Cup.

A member of The Jockey Club since 2002, Santulli is the founder and former chairman and CEO of NetJets Inc., one of the world’s leading private aviation companies. NetJets has been an active sponsor of Thoroughbred racing and NetJets and Santulli have spearheaded several Triple Crown sponsorships, involving jockeys, which benefit charities in the Thoroughbred industry.

The Jockey Club, founded in 1894 and dedicated to the improvement of Thoroughbred breeding and racing, is the breed registry for North American Thoroughbreds. In fulfillment of its mission, The Jockey Club provides support and leadership on a wide range of important industry initiatives and it serves the information and technology needs of owners, breeders, media, fans and farms, among others.
