Grade II stakes-placed Bold Truth, sire of Ohio stakes winner Bold Captain from his first crop, will stand in 2010 at Steve and Theresa Belford’s farm near Gilead, Ohio. The Belfords, who formerly owned 25% of Bold Truth, have purchased the remaining interest in the 10-year-old son of Seattle Slew.

As a 2-year-old last year, Bold Captain captured the $75,000 Best of Ohio Juvenile Stakes at Thistledown. He is stakes-placed this year.

Bold Truth is represented by seven starters, all of which are winners, from his initial crop.

Bold Truth, who placed in the 2002 Amsterdam Stakes (gr. II) at Saratoga, is out of the stakes-placed Forty Niner mare Forty Nine Hearts. She is a full sister to Belmont Stakes (gr. I) winner Editor’s Note and a half-sister to Cartier Award winner Hold That Tiger.

Bold Truth formerly stood at Doug Arnold’s Buck Pond Farm near Versailles, Ky. His 2010 fee is $2,000.
