Keeneland Sale Topper Born Perfect Retired

Two-year-old Born Perfect, who topped the 2000 Keeneland July yearling sale at $3.6 million when bought by Satish and Anne Sanan's Padua Stables, has been retired because of a training injury and sent to Padua near Summerfield, Fla.
"Born Perfect suffered a setback that makes racing her no longer an option," said the Sanans' daughter, Nadia.
Born Perfect (Mr. Prospector---Molly Girl, by Seattle Slew) was trained by D. Wayne Lukas.
