Jockeys' Challenge to be Held in Turkey

On Aug. 14, Turkish horseracing fans will be in for a treat as some of world’s best riders arrive at Istanbul for the International Jockeys’ Challenge to be held under lights at night races at Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse, the International Arena of Turkish Horseracing.
This will mark the first-ever International Jockeys’ Challenge in Turkey and will consist of a five-race competition. The meeting is expected to attract a big crowd as Turkey's top jockeys will clash for the first time with the visitors including Christophe Lemaire (France), Andreas Suborics (Germany) and Michael Hills (England). The challenge is certain to produce a memorable competition between some of the best jockeys’ of the world.
The champion jockey will be the one accumulating the most points during the five designated races and will receive a prize of $10,000. The first runner-up will receive $5,000 and the second runner up $2,500. In the event of any jockeys sharing equal points, the jockeys involved will share the ranking concerned and the appropriate bonuses.
The International Jockeys’ Challenge will incorporate with a main sponsor. Nesine.com, an online betting site in Turkey, will name the challenge. 
The event will be covered live from TJK TV, the official TV channel of The Jockey Club of Turkey.
