Storm Cat Colt Sells for $2.8 Million

A Storm Cat colt, hip 204, commanded the highest price so far, $2.8 million, at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga selected yearling sale. The dark bay or brown colt, named On A Storm, was bought by John Ferguson for Sheikh Mohammed. The colt is a half-brother to grade I winner and millionaire Aragorn, who is by Storm Cat’s son Giant's Causeway  .

Bred by Summer Wind Farm, owned by Frank Lyon Jr. and his wife, Jane, the colt was consigned by Lane’s End, agent. He is out of the Mr. Prospector mare Onaga.
