Elusive City, sire of this year’s French mile classic winner Elusive Wave, will stand in 2010 at Haras d’Etreham in Normandy, France. He began his stallion career in New Zealand.

Elusive Wave, a member of Elusive City’s first Northern Hemisphere crop, won this year’s Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (Fr-I, the One Thousand Guineas) and Prix Imprudence (Fr-III). Elusive City’s initial crop also includes Soul City, a French group winner in 2008 and third in this year’s Boylesports.com Irish Two Thousand Guineas (Ire-I).

Nine-year-old Elusive City has sired 14 stakes horses, 11 of which have won or placed in stakes this year.

Elusive City (Elusive Quality  --Star of Paris, by Dayjur) captured the 2002 Prix Morny Casinos Barriere (Fr-I) the year he was France’s champion 2-year-old male. He also placed in that year’s Shadwell Stud Middle Park Stakes (Eng-I).

Elusive City stood earlier this year at the Irish National Stud in County Kildare, Ireland.
