Zipping zipped to a win in Sunday's Prix Robert Papin (Fr-II) at Maisons-Laffitte. Five 2-year-old colts and fillies contested the $82,930 race (FF620,000) after good to soft going prompted two entrants to scratch. The winner, a 2-year-old son of Zafonic, was also the highweight and carried 128 pounds.

Zipping broke well and pulled hard early, then was held tightly near the back of the pack by jockey D. Bonilla. He started his move with a furlong to go and won by just a neck of the Danehill filly Massarra. Another filly, Slap Shot, was third, a half-length further back. The winner covered the five furlongs and 110 yards in 1:05 3/5 and paid FF4.40 to win.

-Robert Collet trains Zipping for R.C. Strauss. The colt was bred in Ireland by Kilfrush Stud Ltd. In his last start prior to the Papin, Zipping finished third in the July Prix du Bois (Fr-III) at Chantilly. He has now earned $66,561 (FF501,600).
