Medallist Sires First Winner

Grade II winner Medallist   sired his first winner when his son Gold Winner scored July 19 at Northlands Park. Bred in Kentucky by Joseph B. Murphy, Gold Miller won the 5 1/2-furlong race by 2 1/4 lengths in 1:09.40 for owner Doug Blair.

Gold Winner, a half-brother to graded stakes-placed Kansas City Boy, is the ninth winner from nine foals of racing age from the winning Affirmed mare Noble Pursuit.

Medallist (Touch Gold  --Santaria, by Star de Naskra) stands at Northview PA near Peach Bottom, Pa. His 2009 fee was $5,000.
