Graded stakes winner Chatain   has been purchased for stallion duty by John Turner from William S. Farish’s Lane’s End Texas. Chatain will stand at Turner’s Moon Lake Farm near Elm Grove, La. His fee for 2010 has been set at $2,500.

A 6-year-old son of Forest Wildcat, Chatain won consecutive runnings of the Hal’s Hope Handicap (gr. III) at Gulfstream Park, once in track-record time, plus the William Livingston Stakes at Meadowlands. He retired with six wins from nine starts and earnings of $276,330.

Chatain is out of the stakes-winning Red Ransom mare  Roujoleur, who is one of two stakes winners from stakes winner Stars in My Pocket.
