Borel to Receive Espy as 'Top Jockey'

Calvin Borel

Calvin Borel, who won two-thirds of the Triple Crown on different horses, is among dozens of national sports and entertainment figures who will celebrate the best athletic moments of the year during the 2009 Espys.

The 17th annual awards program will be presented on ESPN July 19 at 9 p.m. ET.

Borel was cited as "Best Jockey" after winning the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) with Mine that Bird and the BlackBerry Preakness Stakes (gr. I) aboard Rachel Alexandra.
