Mr. Sidney, winner of the grade I Maker’s Mark Mile at Keeneland and grade II Firecracker Stakes at Churchill Downs, will make his next start in the Aug. 8 Arlington Million (gr. IT), owner Lee Einsidler said July 13.

“(Trainer) Bill Mott called me and said it makes all the sense in the world,” Einsidler said. “After that he’ll point to the Shadwell Turf Mile (gr. IT) and then conclude his career in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (gr. IT).”

Einsidler said he and Mott would have loved to run Mr. Sidney in the Foustardave (gr. IIT) at Saratoga, but the 5-year-old son of Storm Cat has had several bad experiences in the NYRA detention barn, and Mott does not want to subject the horse to that again.

Mr. Sidney, who is out of the $1.2-million earner Tomisue’s Delight, a daughter of A.P. Indy, was purchased by Einsidler for $3.9 million at the 2005 Keeneland September yearling sale.
