NYTHA Donates $10,000 to Rescue Organization
(Edited New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association release) The Columbia-Greene Humane Society, which is caring for horses rescued from Center Brook Farm, has received a $10,000 donation from the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association. The CGHS/SPCA said the funds will be used to support the organization’s programs and services for animals that are unwanted, neglected, lost and/or abused. “We are appreciative for the generosity of NYTHA and its members,” said Ron Perez, president/investigator of CGHS/SPCA said. “CGHS/SPCA will utilize this donation for food, shelter and medicine for animals that find their way to our shelter.” Earlier this year, 170 horses were found to be suffering from malnourishment at Center Brook Farm near Climax, N.Y. |
