Olredlgetcha, winner of the June 14 Victoria Stakes at Woodbine, was euthanized June 23 after suffering a staph infection in his right hock from a slight puncture wound received in the race.

The symptoms set in June 16 and he was immediately sent to Guelph Medical Center in Toronto. The infection was aggressively treated but rapidly spread to the joint capsule causing the chestnut colt great suffering and a total deterioration of the hock.
A 2-year-old son of Limehouse  —Mystical Beauty, by Cobra King, Olredlgetcha made his racing debut in the Victoria, winning by three lengths. He was bred in Florida by Sal and Colleen Simeone’s Sienna Farms and raced in the name of the couple’s R Own Stables.
