Flores Notches 4,000th Win

Jockey Jose Luis Flores won his 4,000th race May 30 when he guided Abulletforfrank to victory in the third race at Philadelphia Park.

Flores, who has been riding since 1987, has won several stakes races over the years, the majority of which have come at Philadelphia Park and Penn National Race Course, where he is based.

Flores has won 17% of his 23,543 career mounts. In addition to reaching his 4,000th victory, he also has 6,610 second-place finishes to his credit.
