Sasha’s Fierce brought $25,500 to top the Upper Midwest sale of 2-year-olds and unraced Thoroughbreds May 16 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn. Astar Lindquist Stable purchased the unraced juvenile bay filly from Wood-Mere Farm, which bred her in partnership with Brereton C. Jones in Minnesota.
By Include , Sasha’s Fierce is the second foal out of the 10-year-old winning Distinctive Pro mare Pareepassoo, who is a full sister to 1989 Molly Pitcher Handicap (gr. II) winner Bodacious Tatas.
In all, six horses were sold during the auction, grossing $60,450. The average price was $10,075, and the median price was $9,750. Twelve (66.7%) of the 18 horses offered failed to find new homes.
