Graded stakes winner Gators N Bearscame through with his first winner when his daughter Ally Bear won May 21 at Penn National. Making her first start, Ally Bear scored by 9 3/4 lengths, winning the 4 1/2-furlong race in :52.44 for Janet L. Wayson.

Bred in Pennsylvania by Mike DeSaye, Ally Bear is the second winner from two foals of racing age from the winning Helmsman mare Nautical But Nice.

Gators N Bears (Stormy Atlantic  --I’ll Be Along, by Notebook) stands for $5,000 at the Boniface family’s Bonita Farm near Darlington, Md.
