The West Virginia Racing Commission, which regulates the Greyhound and Thoroughbred industries at the state's four racetracks, has three new members.
Gov. Joe Manchin on May 20 appointed Greg McDermott of Wheeling and Charleston residents Joe Smith and Jack Rossi to three-year terms.
They fill the expired terms of commissioners who had continued to serve while changes to the commission's makeup were debated during the recent legislative session. Lawmakers decided to maintain the commission's current structure.
