Patrick Hogan announced that Stravinsky will return to his Cambridge Stud in New Zealand for the upcoming breeding season after an absence of two years. Thirteen-year-old Stravinsky (Nureyev--Fire the Groom, by Blushing Groom) is based at Shizunai Stallion Station in Japan.
Stravinsky did not return to New Zealand in 2007 because of the Equine Influenza outbreak in Australia. His return to New Zealand from Japan was not possible again last year because of quarantine protocols.
Stravinsky, who has sired 56 stakes winners, will stand for $35,000 (approximately $21,000 in U.S funds), plus GST.
